How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. How can you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. So I wanted to share some tips and tricks so that you can make delicious, fluffy omelets every morn.

When making omelets, it is important to be aware that eggs can be temperamental. The eggs must be fresh from an organic source and kept at room temperature until they are ready to be cooked. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This makes your omelets look weirdly colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. Because this could cause your omelet to become curdled, you don't want any yolk to be mixed with any white.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The heat from the microwave cooks the egg just enough without overcooking it.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. You need to turn the bowl of the mixer upside down. Then, vigorously shake the bowl. This way, the air inside the bowl gets whipped around and mixes the egg thoroughly.

The fun part is now - adding the milk to the mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After you have done folding the eggs, heat the pan on medium heat. The oil will start to smoke. When the oil is hot enough, add 1/4 cup butter to the pan. Stir it around until the butter covers the entire pan. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. Salt will prevent the omelet sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet by using a spatula. Cook the other half for another minute. Serve immediately after removing the omelet from its pan.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
