Food Network Old Shows

skills and techniques in cooking

If you're anything like I, you may have watched a number of Food Network programs in the past, but you have stopped watching them. Here are some of my favorites: The Sandra Lee Show, Guy Fieri's show, Alton Brown's show, Ree Drummond's show, and Alton & Ree's cooking program. I have binge-watched many the same shows. They'll all be missed!

Ina Garten's show

Ina Garten's old food network shows, even if they aren't very interesting, are worth checking out, even if it's just for the nostalgia. Ina is an expert in cooking and food. Ina's unique style of entertaining and cooking is also evident in her food network shows. The former pastry chef has made more than 30 cookbooks and won multiple awards. Her TV personality, however, is what makes her food network shows so successful. Her shows reflect her gastronomic lifestyle.

Ina Garden's first cookbook, published in 1999 by the Food Network, was quickly followed up by a television program of the same title. Ina Garten's show was a huge success on the Food Network and her popularity has not waned. It is possible that the show could be revived or renewed by another network. Her new show "Be My Guest", will be broadcast by Discovery Plus and Food Network. But, the former will continue working with other projects.

Guy Fieri's show

Guy Fieri's old Food Network shows are still available to view. Guy Fieri continues his search for the perfect po’boy in New Orleans. Aaron Sanchez joins Guy Fieri to help him make ceviche and soft-shell crab sandwiches. He also makes a canoe-tour down the bayou and cooks a festive crawfish boiling.

Advanced Cooking Tips

Guy Fieri started his career selling soft pretzels, and other street food before he was able to get his big break on The Food Network. At the age of ten, Guy Fieri and his father built and sold pretzels on various occasions using a three-wheeled motorcycle cart. The profits helped him pay for his studies in France. He went on to earn a degree in hotel management at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Alton Brown's Show

If you've ever been curious about the science of cooking and want to learn more about how different dishes are prepared, you'll be happy to know that there is an Alton Brown show on Food Network. Alton Brown's menu includes steak tartare and sourdough bread as well as icebox cakes and shakshuka. His cooking demonstrations are step-by, with guests you know and enjoy.

The star of Alton Brown's Food Network show, "Good Eats," is coming to Houston for a live culinary variety show on Nov. 2. "Alton Brown Live: Beyond the Eats", will be presented by the Society for the Performing Arts in Jones Hall. Brown is well known for his television programs that deal with food. He is also a regular commentator on Iron Chef America, "Cutthroat Kitchen" and other shows. In 2006, Brown won the Peabody Award for his most recent show "Good Eats." The show features many recipes and focuses on nutrition and healthy eating.

Ree Drummonds show

Ree Drummond is a noted food blogger, cookbook author, and TV personality who lives on a ranch in Oklahoma with her extended family of animals. With her brand of home cooking, she has made the transition from print to television. Her recipes are the same as in her printed books, but she cooks from her home. Although it can be difficult to watch a celebrity move from print to TV, the show is well worth the effort.

cooking tips for beginners

Ree Drummond doesn't consider herself a gourmet cook, as is the case with many celebrity chefs. She helps her fans create delicious, easy-to-make dishes that don’t require any special technique. She is a busy mom, so easy and quick recipes are appealing to her audience. And her food is delicious, too! Here are some of the foods that can be made on her show:
