teaching cooking skills to kids

These are some of the best tips for creating a succulent and delicious steak. The first tip is to buy a good quality steak. Look for color, marbling, and fat content. A USDA Prime grade (or USDA Certified) is the best choice. It indicates that the meat meets USDA standards. Depending on how large the steak is, you might want to rub olive oil onto the outside before grilling. To prevent sticking, you can season the interior with a bit of Italian or seasoned Salt.

After grilling your steak, place it on a counter to rest for at most an hour. This will allow the steak's juices to absorb the flavors and sear. It is recommended that the steak be left in the refrigerator at least for an hour. This way, the meat will not be cold and won't fall through the grate. This tip will keep steaks juicy and tender while grilling.

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. How do you make them perfect? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. Eggs must be purchased fresh, preferably organic, and kept chilled until ready for cooking. If you don't keep them cold enough, the whites won't form properly, and the yolks will break down too much and become runny. This makes your omelets look weirdly colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Now shake the bowl vigorously. This way, the air inside the bowl gets whipped around and mixes the egg thoroughly.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the second side for a minute or so. Serve the omelet immediately by removing it from the pan.

This recipe works best when you use whole milk.
